Bistro Ten is one of the Panama Gringo’s favorite haunts when he visits his second home in Panama City.
It used to be a secret but not anymore – check out this article in Washington Post earlier this year. Seems everyone is on to it now.

North Americans ain’t ugly
I had heard a lot about this place and figured I’d try it out: $10 for a meal! Wow! How could you go wrong?
Well, I don’t understand how they can claim to have $10 meals as, in my book, a $10 meal means you go in, eat, and leave having spent $10, right? I used some simple math to deduce that myself and a date should cost…$20, right?
How now brown cow. There were indeed some dishes on the menu for $10. But most were more. I think all the main entrees were between $12-$30. We each had two cocktails, an appetizer, and an entree. The grand total: $78.39 including tip.
That is not $20.
Point is, don’t go to this place feeling thrifty and hoping to get out of there on a full stomach for $10. The food was good, not by any means spectacular. I think I’d go back, but fear that marketing themselves with “$10 meals” could lead to a lot of unsatisfied travelers.

This is a great piece, I discovered your site browsing google for a related subject and came to this. I couldnt discover to much alternative info on this summary, so it was nice to locate this one. I will certainly be returning to look at some other articles that you have another time.
