There is lots to do in Panama City, and even more to do in the surrounding area. One of the most popular tours is the Embera Indian Village tour. A variety of tours of the Village are offered by a number of companies, including Panama Carlos.
Under 2 hours from Panama City you will find the canoes that take you up a beautiful rainforest river, which is the only means of transportation in the
jungle and to an authentic Embera Indian Village on the river bank.
The experience is out of this world for us Gringos… the Indians perform traditional tribal dances, offer authentic body painting and handicrafts. You can learn about the Embera Indian’s way of life, their traditions and beliefs.
Check out the tours provided by Panama Carlos; it is an unforgettable experience.

What is best value tour to see the embera indians?
Well, I always suggest going with my buddy Carlos Aleman, because his tours are priced fairly and he adds so much more to the tour, because showing people around his country, Panama, is his passion. For an unforgettable visit to the Embera Indians community, check out his web-site http://www.panamacarlos.com, or email him at: info (AT) panamacarlos (DOT) com. I think he charges $140 a person for the day trip to Embera, and that includes all your transportation (land and water), entrance to the community, and lunch at the community.
