Cafeteria Manolo’s in El Cangrejo

Manolo’s in the El Cangrejo neighborhood of Panama City has been my culinary rock during my stay here. Manolo’s is open 24 hours and conveniently located across from the Veneto Hotel and Casino in the heart of Panama City. Their menu ranges from ceviche to Cuban sandwiches to pizza, pasta and seafood that won’t break your budget.

On a groggy morning after Manolo’s is the perfect place to get a fresh fruit drink and a plate of hotcakes and eggs for around six bucks. You can swing in at lunch for a juicy burger topped with a fried egg and veggies and wash that down with a Panama beer or stop by for one of my favorites the chicken spaghetti with white sauce and fresh garlic rolls.

Manolo’s doesn’t stop at great food on a travel friendly budget. They have a fully stocked bar with a huge variety of imported and local liquors and beer. You could treat yourself to a traditional seco (grain liquor) if you’re feeling brave, or have a Cuban rum and coke to wash down your undoubtedly delicious meal.

The pizza at Manolo’s deserves a menu of its own. You can have a scrumptious pizza topped with almost anything from chorizo to chicken breast to classic pepperoni. I recommend the chicken with mushroom and onion or a simple cheese pie. Anyway you go you’re only going to spend around five to seven dollars for an entire pizza and drink. Manolo’s in Panama City will always leave you with a fuller stomach and wallet any time of day.

Muchas gracias, saludos y esperandovisitarles nuevamente.
