If you’re searching for a more luxurious and accommodated spot to crash in Panama City the Veneto Hotel & Casino located on Via Veneto in Panama City’s El Cangrejo neighborhood may be your best bet when deciding among places to stay. The hotel comes very well equipped with fine dining restaurants, sushi bar, several bars, a spa, world class casino, roof top pool and many customer service options such as airport shuttle, valet parking and 24 hour room service. Room rates range from about $115 to $200 per night depending on the number of occupants and length of stay; and many specials are offered for extended stays of four or more nights.
When considering places to stay in Panama many often opt for the bright lights and modern conveniences of the city. However, for those who prefer to trek off of the beaten path Pedasi, Panama has much to offer. In Pedasi you will find a plethora of activities available such as world class surfing, diving, snorkeling and hiking. The waters near Pedasi are also well known for fantastic sport fishing and nature lovers can explore the utopia of wildlife that covers the Azuero Peninsula on which Pedasi rests. On my first trip to Pedasi I was fortunate enough to spot several exotic birds as well as a surprising howler monkey dancing down the road in front of our truck.
If you are trying to find a place to stay in Panama that won’t break the bank, check out La Estancia. This little bed and breakfast is located on Acon Hill close to the Albrook airport. From atop the Hill you have a great view of both the ocean and the Panama Canal.

If you reallly want to get away from it all, then head to the North Central side region on the Caribbean side of Panama to Playon Chico. It is the closest thing I have found to paradise, and the longer I stay here, the more I enjoy myself.
There are several tiny islands that make up a small archipelago and they are owned and operated by the Kuna Yala Indians as part of their reserve. That keeps the area refreshingly clean of the typical tourist traps, and the beaches virtually untouched.
If you come up to Playon Chico then check out Yandup, an island located in the center of the Kuna Yala reserve. It is a great little place to stay, Read more

It is not unusual to pay $250 a night for a Wyndham or Marriott.
